The Role
As a confident and committed team player, the successful applicant should have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain positive professional relationships between students, families, staff, and community stakeholders. They should be able to make a strong contribution to the effectiveness and efficiency of the student services team by acting with integrity and contributing to the development of a calm, productive atmosphere, and a culture where everyone feels valued.
You will ideally understand how to implement strong and sophisticated restorative practices, support staff to implement agreed processes and procedures, as well as implementing whole school positive approaches to student engagement and wellbeing. Ideally, the successful applicant should have capacity in complex multi-disciplinary team case management, interagency collaboration, zones of regulation, tiers of intervention and positive behaviour support programs. An understanding of Trauma Informed Practice and the ability to take a trauma informed approached to building effective relationships within a school environment is desirable.
