The Role
The successful applicant will ideally be a conscientious, flexible and innovative teacher who is committed to the development of the whole child. You will ideally be actively involved both within the school and wider community, highly reflective of your teaching practices and committed to evidence-based decision making and differentiation. You will work in teams to collaborate, moderate and develop programs of work that meet individual student needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a willingness to collaborate with colleagues, parents and external networks to establish strong community partnerships are highly desirable.
You will ideally possess the professional knowledge, practices and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant curriculum using a positive, student-focused approach and have success working with students across a range of ability levels, including multi-age/split year groups. An understanding and/or experience in the school’s whole school programs is desirable.
Consistent and transparent classroom management approaches and a willingness to adopt the whole school Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approach to behaviour management is desirable. You should be enthusiastic, seek opportunities for innovation and leadership and possess the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Mobility appointments for permanent, metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
