The Role
Ideally, the successful applicant will have great interpersonal skills as this role involves liaising with service providers, contractors and stakeholders as well as the Principal, Manager Corporate Services (MCS) and staff to implement and manage effective Occupational Health and Safety and Emergency and Critical Incidents procedures and processes.
The role of the Facilities Coordinator is to provide support to the MCS for the supervision of school gardening, pool and cleaning services, including managing gardening and cleaning staff and arranging maintenance and repair of relevant machinery. A facility Coordinator arranges daily operations relating to the maintenance and management of school grounds and amenities, while undertaking researching and making recommendations regarding the acquisition of assets relating to the school grounds, buildings, and amenities.
The successful applicant should support the MCS to manage the business needs of our school. This may include implementing and manage security systems, developing and implementing school-wide asset management and maintenance strategies and assisting with the preparation and monitoring of budgets, funding submissions, evaluation of tenders and contracts in relation to facilities management.
