Davallia Primary School (PS) is situated in the established northern suburb of Duncraig and is well regarded as a school of quality by the community it serves. Built in 1974, the school now boasts a student enrolment of over 570 students.

The Role
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to continue the delivery of the school’s outstanding French Language Program and achieving outstanding results. Ideally, you will be highly efficient and well experienced in teaching the French Language. The ability to integrate the French language across all aspects of school operation would be highly desirable.
We are looking to appoint a teacher with the ability to work effectively as a member of a high functioning team and with a strong knowledge of the Languages curriculum. Also, applicants with experience in teaching the French Language using the ‘gesture approach’ known as the Accelerative Integrated Methodology (AIM) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Davallia PS has a strong history of providing a quality immersion French language program using the AIM Gesture model. Accelerative Integrated Methodology (AIM) Creates authentic learning through scaffolding techniques which use story-telling, gestures, active collaboration and repetition. The use of high-frequency vocabulary, introduced with gestures and contextualized in stories, drama, songs and dance, allows students to rapidly achieve levels of oral and written proficiency rarely seen with conventional methods..
