This is a 12-month fixed term, part-time (0.6FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2025 with possible extension and/or permanency.

The Role
The successful applicant should be motivated, possessing the ability to teach Science and will be knowledgeable of the Western Australian Curriculum. The successful applicant ideally will be enthusiastic and highly motivated with exemplary teaching skills. It would be desirable that the successful applicant has the ability to work in an environment characterised by whole school connected practice, a strong commitment to professional growth and collaborative team structures.
The successful applicant will ideally establish strong, positive and productive relationships with students, peers and the wider school community. Interpersonal skills will be required to work collaboratively with staff members and implement whole school approaches within the school’s business and operational plans.
Our school caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. We have an ethos of working together, caring for others, developing positive community involvement, taking pride in our achievements and maximising the educational opportunities for all children. At Samson PS we have a Specialist Learning Program for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Students within this program spend time within mainstream classes daily. As such, experience with ASD and inclusion will be highly regarded.
