The North and South Metropolitan Education Regions are seeking to establish a pool of Participation Coordinators for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2024 and up to the end of April 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The Role
The Participation Coordinator provides case coordination, brokerage and face-to-face outreach support to our secondary school-aged students most at risk of disengaging from education. They work hard to transition students into appropriate education, training, and employment options. Participation Coordinators assess individual students’ needs, and develop effective plans to ensure our most vulnerable students succeed. As a Participation Coordinator, you leverage your strong network of youth, employment, education and training services across your region to deliver for young people.
Suitable applicants are culturally responsive and trauma-informed communicators who negotiate positive outcomes with students, parents/guardians, leadership teams in schools, training organisations, support agencies and industry.
We want people from culturally-diverse backgrounds to apply.
