This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025
This position is suitable for a qualified and experienced History and/or Politics and Law (P&L) teacher and is advertised concurrently with a pool for a Teacher - Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) - IPS/TCH929015 at Ballajura Community College (BCC). Applicants are encouraged to apply for either or both opportunities if desired.

The Role
BCC is seeking a HASS teacher who specialises in History and/or P&L, to join their friendly team.
As the successful applicant, you will ideally be an innovative and highly motivated educator with the ability to provide quality teaching in the HASS curriculum area as part of dedicated team. You should have a passion for History and/or P&L and a deep understanding of instructional strategies to effectively engage students in the learning process.
You will ideally be a reflective practitioner who actively engages in activities to improve your professional practice. The successful applicant for this position will ideally be student and relationship focused, innovative and motivated, with the ability to work collaboratively in team environments. You should exhibit the professional knowledge, understandings, and experience to develop and implement an engaging and relevant secondary school HASS curriculum. The proven capacity to successfully teach in the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) context will also be highly regarded.
