We are seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
This pool is advertised concurrently with a permanent full-time position for a History and/or Politics and Law teacher (IPS/TCH929011) at Ballajura Community College (BCC). Applicants are encouraged to apply for either or both opportunities if desired.

The Role
We are looking for expert, passionate HASS teachers with a commitment to excellence in teaching in their learning area. Ideally the suitable applicants will have professional knowledge, understandings and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary school curriculum and have proven success to achieving exceptional educational outcomes for all students. We are looking for applicants with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
These skills should see you negotiate effectively and build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels including colleagues and parents/caregivers. Applicants should be flexible and work collaboratively with staff and students to provide an engaging and relevant learning environment to inspire and motivate students to learn.
Suitable HASS applicants should provide a learning environment that is engaging, challenging, and caring, and cater for the range of needs which will see all students making progress.
