The Role
Challis Community PS is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and team orientated Music Teacher to join their wonderful and supportive team!
You would be part of a growing team that has built a school culture that is positive, inclusive and extends young minds. You will ideally have strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to work cooperatively with all others to create and maintain a welcoming and vibrant environment for students and families.
This role includes nurturing a vibrant and thriving Choir which is taught after school hours and seeking opportunities for them to perform in public. The successful applicant should use explicit teaching to teach new concepts and a range of other methodology to engage and excite students. The successful candidate should also possess strong classroom management skills based on positive behaviour support and strong relationships.
Working alongside another full-time Music Specialist and working collaboratively with the team of Specialist teachers, you should possess top quality interpersonal skills to work collaboratively in a team environment, embracing classroom observation, feedback, modelling and coaching.
