We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
As the school officer, you will work closely with the Manager Corporate Services to assist in the management of the school’s finances to meet Department of Education financial processes and reporting requirements. This includes tasks such as undertaking account and GST coding, reconciling financial records and processing invoices. The school officer also assists with month-end procedures, transporting receipts to the bank and maintaining data integrity. They will be responsible for collating figures for financial planning and budgeting, which will help the school make informed decisions about its resources.
In addition to this, the school officer will assist with processing relief staff payments, leave requests, and associated tasks in HRMIS as well as providing support with the induction of new staff and coordinating relief staff.
The school officer role also includes assisting with the management of the school’s assets and resources as well as assisting to coordinate stocktakes and maintaining asset and resource registers and insurance lists. The school officer provides assistance with breakdown and fault repairs, coordinating contractors and routine maintenance as well as maintaining key registers and security system codes.
This role also includes assisting to coordinate the replacement, purchase and leasing of ICT equipment as well as managing associated software, licenses and data management systems.
Suitable applicants will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, be highly organised, flexible and effectively manage their workload to meet deadlines as well as have the ability to multi-task and problem solve. It is essential that the school officer be self-motivated, show initiative and be able to work independently while maintaining open communication and be a proud member of our team and school community. The school officer should have a positive approach to the role and be motivated for continuous improvement and to learn new skills, as well as adapt to new processes and data bases when required.
In addition to this, the school officer will model effective customer service, interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with the administration team, school staff, students, parents, the school community and P&C, contractors and the wider community.
Ideally, the school officer will have a sound knowledge of Student Information System (SIS) Integris, RM Billing, RM Finance, Asset Manager, YouAudit, HRMIS, Microsoft Office and Canva to complete their daily work.
The school officer role includes preparing correspondence, newsletter notices, flyers and invitations as well as updating digital and online platforms such as the school website, Connect and social media. The school officer role also includes public relations and marketing and being the central point of contact to distribute information to staff and the school community.
