The Role
Suitable applicants will ideally be dedicated, highly competent, and enthusiastic Home Economics teachers with excellent interpersonal skills. Suitable applicants should have the knowledge and skills necessary to apply a range of high impact engaging teaching strategies and develop a positive classroom learning environment. Suitable applicants should possess the professional knowledge, understandings and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary school Home Economics curriculum. It is desirable that applicants hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Vocational Education and Training (VET) Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set.
Suitable applicants should support the implementation of the school’s business plan, work and teach in a team environment, be committed to whole school approaches and initiatives, and have a strong evidence-based approach to teaching. As part of their standard practice, teachers should embrace opportunities to reflect on and assess the effectiveness of their teaching practices using a variety of methods available within the school. We are seeking teachers that will have a growth mindset and a desire for continuous improvement.
Finally, suitable applicants should place high emphasis on parent partnerships and desires to communicate with parents regularly throughout the year.
