The Project Support branch is looking for a flexible and motivated Principal Consultant to join their team. We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, and solutions-oriented professional ready to make a meaningful impact.
To be suitable for this role you will demonstrate flexibility, responsiveness, careful planning, attention to detail, and strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
The role
As the Principal Consultant, you will understand considerations related to online services for students and the implications for public schools.
This includes, but is not limited to, providing high-level professional and strategic support for the effective development, implementation, and communication of supports associated with the Students Online in Public Schools policy and procedures, and in particular the online third-party assessment and guidance available to school (third-party assessment catalogue).
The successful applicant will develop strong stakeholder relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. As such, communication skills are paramount.
As a member of the Project Support team, you will:
- use collaborative strategies to develop approaches to support schools
- provide third-party initiative progress updates on a regular basis to the manager and senior leaders
- support the manager to develop the capacity of team members of the third-party initiative.
As a Principal Consultant, you will be required to contribute to a broad range of initiatives within the Project Support team and across Statewide Services.
Who are we
Statewide Services provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery. While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an important system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development.
The Project Support Branch sits within the Service Design and Support Directorate within the Statewide Services Division. The Service Design and Support Directorate provides the shared functions and support needed to strengthen services to schools. The branch also coordinates, implements, and supports programs, initiatives, and special projects. Its purpose is to provide strategy, policy, and program oversight and operational support to Statewide Services.
We seek candidates who are passionate about continuous improvement and systems optimisation. Having experience in planning, implementing, and managing systems would be beneficial, though not essential.
