The Commercial and Contracting Services Directorate is seeking to appoint an experienced individual to work within the Commercial Procurement Services (CPS) team who is interested in and passionate about improving educational outcomes for students in public schools through best procurement practice.

The CPS team provides procurement and contract development services for all Department of Education (the Department) contracts valued at $50,000 or more. This includes the preparation of Request documents and the facilitation of tender evaluations in compliance and alignment with the WA Procurement rules.
The Role
As part of this role you will assist in managing the procurement of contracts through building strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive strategic procurement planning to achieve the objectives of the Department. This will include critical thinking and ability to understand and visualise the needs of a client, to ensure appropriate procurement processes take place to achieve the desired outcomes.
As the successful applicant you will be required to lead the preparation of documentation from procurement planning through to award of contracts. In addition, you will be involved in assisting and developing good contract management practices across the Department to ensure value for money can be realised through the duration of the contract.
Our team is part of the Commercial and Contracting Services Directorate and the greater Finance and Commercial Services Division which provides development and promotion opportunity within the Division. Our Directorate has responsibility for the provision of support to the Department and Schools, for contract planning and management, insurance management, fleet management and commercial legal advice.
