We are seeking to establish a pool of Student Services Support Officer (SSSO) for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Duncraig Senior High School (SHS) is situated in the north-western suburbs on the coastal strip 18 kilometres from Perth. We cater for students from Year 7 to Year 12 and are a school of high standards where the care and progress of every child is our first priority. The Role
Our school provides a strong pastoral care focus for all our students. As part of this team, the SSSO role ideally requires the capacity to work under pressure and undertake a wide range of administrative and student focused support services within the school.
To be successful in this role, suitable applicants would have strong computer skills using various Microsoft Office 365 and Department of Education SIS database, such as student records and management information systems that relate to attendance, good standing, uniforms, transfers and personal data. Duncraig SHS currently uses SEQTA sand MGM Outreach however is transitioning to Compass early 2025.
Suitable applicants should have an eye for detail and the ability to generate statistical, pastoral care and attendance reports and letters, as well as being able to coordinate administrative tasks for the Student Services section, is essential for this position. The SSSO role is the face of day-to-day interactions with students, therefore interpersonal skills which form relationships is highly desirable.
As a SSSO, applicants who are confident with being able to review our student services processes and procedures to facilitate office effectiveness as well as identifying student needs and requirements, will be highly regarded. Ideally, suitable applicants should be collaborative and provide administrative support for special projects across teams as the business needs of the school arise.
