Located in the heart of Mount Hawthorn Education Support Centre (ESC) we share a campus with Mount Hawthorn Primary School. Our focus is on Inclusion and Diversity, Equity, Student Autonomy and Choice, and Integrity. We provide tailored educational support for students from Pre-Primary to Year 6, including our Early Intensive Intervention Program (EIIP) for Autistic students.

The Role
As Program Coordinator, you shall play a vital role in promoting our school vision and enhancing workforce effectiveness. You shall also have the opportunity to impact practice in ways that enhance student independence, ensuring that all students are empowered to achieve their fullest potential. Familiarity with the Department's strategic documents, including Teaching for Impact, is essential to guide our educational approach. We’re looking for a highly effective leader, ideally with:
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- A strong understanding of positive behaviour support policies
- Proven ability to build professional relationships within the school community.
Responsibilities include strategic planning and implementing change management strategies that drive improved educational outcomes. Familiarity with evidence-based programs and the Education Support Centre curriculum profile is highly desirable, along with experience in using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems for complex communicators.
Key Qualities include:
- Innovative and proactive mindset
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for collaboration
- Knowledge of Trauma-informed practices and Positive Handling strategies
- Ability to organise and lead case conferences with stakeholders.
