Willetton Senior High School (SHS) is looking to appoint a highly competent and dedicated Physical Science Teacher.

The Role
The successful applicant should have a deep belief that every student is capable of successful learning and exhibit highly effective teaching practices and a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice. You will ideally have high expectations, exhibit a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive and engaging classroom-learning environment. An excellent knowledge of the West Australian Curriculum and a capacity to deliver content in an engaging manner are also desirable qualities. Applicants who are able to successfully deliver Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Physics are encouraged to apply.
The successful applicant will be given the opportunity to work across Years 7 to 12 and bring their expertise to the Learning Area, applying their knowledge of the Science Courses. You will ideally be student focused, highly motivated and innovative. You should possess excellent interpersonal skills, be enthusiastic and be able to work cooperatively in a large collaborative Learning Area team. Strong classroom management skills, the ability to develop rapport and motivate students, the ability to differentiate curriculum to cater for individual student needs and to practise a range of high impact teaching strategies are highly desirable.
The ability and initiative to work well with your colleagues as part of a team to develop teaching strategies, resources and approaches to ensure each student can reach their maximum potential should be addressed in your application..
