The Role
We are looking for a teacher who possesses excellent interpersonal skills, being able to provide an innovative teaching and learning program in English as an Additional Language/Dialect – which engages and motivates students is essential in this emerging role.
The successful applicant should possess leadership, passion and an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and the WA English, as well as an understanding as an Additional Language/Dialect (EALD) Progress Map. The successful applicant should possess competency in teaching students of varying ability and English language proficiency across Years 7 to 10 in a highly engaging manner. The position is a leadership role and would provide the successful applicant to lead the school in a growing EALD role in a multicultural and diverse school population. The role also has time allocated for the leadership responsibilities attached and working in our cluster of South East Education Community to assist and be involved in Primary schools initiatives with their multicultural activities, learning and leading. Ideally, the successful applicant will be a dedicated and highly motivated educator with the ability to develop quality teaching and learning programs across all learning areas to develop the students’ language and literacy needs.
