We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistants – Mainstream for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Heathridge Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public School located approximately twenty-five kilometres north of the city of Perth. Heathridge PS is a small, family-oriented school where current enrolments are 210 from Kindergarten to Year 6 with an existing 20% being diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder who spend a significant amount of time in their mainstream classrooms. There is a dedicated and professional teaching and non-teaching staff who are committed to meeting the needs of students and the school community, including a Specialised Learning Program – Autism as of 2018.

The Role
Suitable applicants will ideally have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with the teacher to create and maintain a supportive, inclusive education program to meet the needs of the students. You should be organised and use your initiative to assist the teacher with the general care and well-being of students and the maintenance of the learning environment and school resources. You assist the teacher with care and supervision of students during class activities and excursions, as well as assisting the teacher with the general care and the wellbeing of the students.
