The Role
As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you will assist in the delivery of planned educational programs to help drive academic success through our whole school Pedagogical approach to teaching and learning. You will ideally display a high level of EQ to support the overall health and social and emotional well-being of our students, striving to provide a safe learning environment, which reflects our Positive Behaviour Support framework. In this role you should collaborate and work in a robust team-based environment, contributing your knowledge and expertise in Trauma Informed Practice, to support individual educational outcomes.
You will ideally be extremely motivated and possess highly developed written and oral communication skills, to support individual or small group-based programs. Suitable applicants will ideally have excellent interpersonal skills and build strong, positive relationships with parents/carers, students, and staff. As current finalists in two 2024 WA Education Awards categories (Excellence in Wellbeing and Learning & Excellence in School Leadership), staff culture is of utmost importance and suitable applicants should display their capacity to add to the culture of our school community.
