Coolbellup Community School is located 21 kilometres south of Perth. Catering for children from kindergarten to Year 6, our school is an important part of the community. We share our school site with Coolbellup Learning Centre with some shared facilities and events as well as being the link school to Pineview Community Kindergarten.

The Role
Coolbellup CS is seeking a committed, resilient, highly motivated leader to fill this Deputy Principal role. Our school is on a school improvement journey with a focus on the development and delivery of whole school programs, Multi-Tiered System of Support with a focus on Positive Behaviour Support and inclusivity with an emphasis on meeting the needs of our students.
The ideal applicant should be adaptable and proficient in managing change, display a strong understanding of impactful teaching instruction and can support and facilitate teacher growth. They should also possess a sound understanding of complex behaviour and multi-tiered systems of support.
As a high-performing relational leader, you will ideally work collaboratively with all staff and students and use your excellent interpersonal skills to contribute to a culture of high expectations where students and staff learn, grow, and adjust to change. The successful applicant should possess the ability to think and plan strategically and identify innovative and practical solutions to challenges. You will ideally engage and build productive and positive working relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to strive towards achieving our vision and values outlined in our ‘Strategic Plan 2023-2025 to improve outcomes for all students.
As the Student Services Manager, you would also be leading the case management of our students considered at educational risk through your knowledge of effective intervention, monitoring and reporting strategies. It is highly desirable that the successful applicant in the role has a strong knowledge and understanding of the Disability Resourcing System and can manage these human and financial resources in the best interest of the students; working alongside the Manager Corporate Services, who is the line manager of our Education Assistants.
