The Role
The successful applicant will ideally possess excellent curriculum knowledge in the Performing Arts context of Dance across Years 7-12 and display quality skills and experience in Dance. Prior experience teaching Gifted and Talented dance is highly desirable. Interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to contribute positively to a team environment are highly desirable. In addition, you will work closely with students and staff to prepare and present performances across the school year. The successful applicant will ideally possess the professional knowledge, understandings, and experience to develop and implement an engaging and relevant secondary school Arts curriculum. As an expert practitioner you should have a commitment to excellence in teaching and engage in regular self-reflection.
The successful applicant will ideally develop a supportive and positive classroom environment and have proven skills in behaviour management and evidence-based pedagogy.
