This is a six (6) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025 with possible extension.
One Arm Point Remote Community School (OAPRCS) is a K-12 school in Ardyaloon (One Arm Point), an Aboriginal community 210km north of Broome on the Dampier Peninsula in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia.
OAPRCS has woven into the tapestry of the wider community to function at full potential within the remote context. The Role
Early Childhood qualifications and experience required.
The successful applicant will ideally be a passionate, motivated, and skilled educator who is committed to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for every child, every day, through our whole school approaches, explicit teaching and instructional strategies in our year 1/2 classroom.
It is highly desirable that the successful applicant is committed to developing positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider community. They should possess a strong capacity to plan challenging and engaging programs using an excellent understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum an previous experience in remotes would be an advantage – as would knowledge of OAPRCS and Ardyaloon community.
We are seeking an applicant who is innovative and possess high quality teaching skills and knowledge. They will ideally be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, support current whole school processes and be collegial, effective collaborators.
