This is a 6 month fixed term, part-time (0.88FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2025 with possible extension
Rockingham Lakes Primary School (PS) opened in Port Kennedy in 2002. Enrolment is currently around 500 from Kindergarten to Year 6. The Peel Language Development School is co-located on the site. We offer specialist programs in Science, Physical Education, Music and Art. Students are also learning AUSLAN (sign language) deepening their understanding of deaf culture.

The Role
The Cleaner in Charge is responsible for inducting, training, leading, and managing cleaning staff including relief staff; monitoring and ordering stock supplies within your budget; maintenance and stocktake of cleaning equipment; undertaking cleaning of allocated internal and external areas; opening and locking the college, including setting the security alarm system; and conducting twice daily hand over with the Manager Corporate Services.
The successful applicant will ideally have good attention to detail and will be able to work well with others to ensure a clean and safe school environment. You will ideally be organised, reliable and punctual. The suitable applications should work well both individually and as part of a team and have excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods and practices.
