Nungarin Primary School (PS) is a very small Eastern Wheatbelt rural school, 41 km North of Merredin. Nungarin PS is a very important part of this close-knit community. We actively partake in local activities and encourage community members to engage with us and assist in our school. We cater for children from Kindergarten to Year 6. The Role
The successful applicant will be fully supported in planning and providing high quality, engaging teaching, and learning programs that are designed to meet our student’s needs.
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of the children in our community. The successful applicant will ideally be able to show exemplary teaching skills, be highly motivated and enthusiastic. The successful applicant will ideally have the ability to work in a team environment and have a commitment to both play-based learning and explicit teaching. The successful applicant will ideally possess a high level of interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff members and engage with our students, families, and the broader community. The successful applicant will ideally have the knowledge and experience or willingness to learn and embed whole school programs and approaches outlined in the school’s business and operational plans.
The Early Childhood Teacher will ideally be a team player, with an enthusiastic approach to engaging students to do their best. They will ideally have experience in a multi-age-group (MAG) setting and an understanding of how to maximise the use of support staff to optimise student outcomes. Knowledge of the MultiLit suite would be a bonus but not a requirement, training can be provided. Ideally applicants will have experience in explicit teaching, instructional strategies, and differentiation.
