Program Kaartdijin are seeking to establish a pool of Senior Finance Consultants - Systems Implementation for fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2024 and up to the end of October 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Program Kaartdijin has been established to develop a functionally fit, technologically robust solution to replace the current School Information System (SIS) and include additional information capture and reportability. The Program focuses on providing short term solutions as well as a longer term solution that meets the operational needs of schools and the reporting and management needs of the Department at large. The Program vision is to provide a contemporary administrative and finance solution connecting people, processes and systems for school communities now and into the future.
The Role
Senior Finance Consultants - Systems Implementation provide support to the Program and are involved in more complex components of the SIS Replacement Project. This includes assessing, customising, configuring and designing school systems modules, designing school chart of accounts and developing key interfaces between corporate and school systems.
Suitable applicants will support in designing, developing, testing, providing quality assurance and implementing the financial management software for schools, and the associated integration of the Department’s dependency systems. In addition, they will undertake research and analysis to ensure the financial management software complies with legislation, policies, internal controls and operational needs.
This role would suit a flexible candidate who is open to change, and who has broad knowledge across school contexts. The successful applicant will maintain an expert awareness of contemporary finance trends, issues and methodologies related to financial management in schools. You will be working closely with the Schools’ Finance Support team to assist them in providing help and advice to schools on complex financial matters relating to Departmental financial management policies and procedures.
