The Role
The Admissions Officer is responsible for the processing of international and local student enrolment applications and providing the related administrative support for the college executive, student services team and students. Key administrative duties include responding to enquiries and requests for information from students, parents and education agents; enrolment data entry and maintaining open channels of communications with families and agents throughout the enrolment process; and preparation of a range of statistical reports.
The successful applicant should have the professional experience, interpersonal skills and cross-cultural understandings to interact effectively with education agents, and international and local students and their families, in Canning College’s unique educational setting. They will ideally have strong customer focus and a friendly, positive, and caring manner. Effective time management skills and attention to detail will be important to manage a varied and demanding workload.
The successful applicant should have proficiency in operating a range of software packages including Student Information System (SIS) and Microsoft Office applications, and ideally will be able to maintain college databases, records and management systems to ensure they are accurate and up to date. They should display the ability to work in collaboration with members of the administration, recruitment and marketing, and student support services teams, to ensure a positive experience for students and the efficient processing of their enrolments from enquiry stage through to completion.
