Halidon Primary School (PS) was established in 1986 and is in the suburb of Kingsley, 17 kilometres north of Perth.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced school leader who will work closely with the principal and members of the school team to shape the school’s identity and deliver the outcomes of the 2024-2026 Business Plan. The current Deputy position comes with a teaching workload of 0.2FTE, and is a multifaceted role that entwines curriculum development, Students At Educational Risk (SAER) leadership and management, instructional coaching, data collection and management, and driving school development to embed high impact teaching pedagogy across the school.

The successful applicant will ideally be dynamic, highly visible and proven high performers with successful leadership and management experience, and strong professional knowledge. You should be dedicated to working collaboratively with teachers and support staff to plan and deliver high-quality curriculum, based on data-informed decisions and practices, and to implementing school wide pedagogy.
Overseeing school operations, the Deputy Principal is instrumental in ensuring the effective operation of the school. This includes the delivery of the School Business Plan through decision-making, policy development, and the establishment of systems that align with the school's overarching objectives. Additionally, the Deputy Principal provides strategic direction for staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in professional performance. The Deputy Principal also plays a vital role in the daily management of staff and student well-being and overseeing timetabling responsibilities.
Overall, the Deputy Principal serves as a key figure for educational leadership and operational effectiveness within the school.
