Champion Bay Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you will assist in the delivery of planned education programs that will help in the development of young minds. In this role you will collaborate and work in a team environment. Highly developed interpersonal skills will be highly valued by the selection panel. You will ideally possess good written and oral communication skills enabling implementation of individual or small group programs, and the ability to support general health and well-being of students. You should be able to work unsupervised with students on a need’s basis. You will ideally be organised and be able to use your initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment.
Suitable applicants will work under teacher direction in a diverse role. You will ideally have the ability to work with students of all ages, regardless of individual abilities and needs. You will support teachers to deliver programs and Individual Education Programs whilst also providing assessment feedback and showing initiative to provide learning opportunities that develop or complement a student’s Individual Education Program. As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you will also provide support to ensure the learning environment is inclusive and relevant with the health and safety of students being a high priority.
