The Role
As a Special Needs Education Assistant – LEAD, you will use evidence-informed practice and agreed school strategies to deliver high quality Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention to students. A component of this role will also include building capacity in others by mentoring, coaching and modelling good practice for other Education Assistants. You shall be involved in coordinating, collecting and reporting intervention data at a whole school level. The successful applicant should display strong intervention skills in Literacy and/or Numeracy. Experience with students from EAL/D backgrounds and training in MultiLit would be highly desirable.
You should have a high level of interpersonal skills and work collaboratively with staff, parents and relevant professionals to meet the needs of students. Applicants should ideally possess the knowledge and experience of working with students with a range of disabilities and learning difficulties and the ability to support student growth, both academically and socially, within the classroom setting.

- Demonstrated well developed written communication skills, including report writing, and the ability to coordinate, collect and present student data at a whole school community level in a meaningful way.
- Demonstrated well developed organisational skills, including the ability to coordinate staff rosters and relief to assist in the delivery of effective education programs.
