Laverton School is made up of three campuses: Laverton Campus (in town); Cosmo Newberry (95km east of Laverton) and Mulga Queen (135km north-east of Laverton). We are nestled in the Northern Goldfields of Western Australia on the edge of the Great Victoria Desert. Wongi people, collectively known as Wongutha or Wankatja people, have occupied the area for thousands of years.
We are a K-12 school with face to face classes in the primary sector and mixed mode delivery in secondary school (combination of face-to-face and SIDE).

Pre-requisite for Remote Teaching
- Due to our remote location and the possible need for gravel driving, all staff will need to complete a 4WD training course (preferably prior to coming to Laverton) – paid for by the school.
- In addition, under the School Education Act Employees’ (Teachers and Administrators) General Agreement 2021 all employees new to the Remote Teaching Service are required to participate in a structured induction program offered by the Department of Education at the beginning of each year. This will generally occur in late January; attendance will be paid.
