This is a permanent part-time (0.4FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2025.
Nollamara Primary School (PS) is located approximately seven kilometres north of the Perth Central Business District in Western Australia and is part of the North Metropolitan Education Region. The school was built in 1956 and introduced an Intensive English Centre (IEC) in 2005. Nollamara PS is a Level 4 school with a student enrolment of around 440 students and caters for children from Kindergarten to Year 6.
Nollamara PS staff provide a safe, supportive and consistent learning environment for students by embracing evidence-based pedagogies across teaching and behaviour management. With Positive Behaviour Support as a school-wide strategy our students are explicitly taught our REACH goals of Respect; Excellence; Acceptance; Compassion and Honesty. All staff have been coached in Explicit Direct Instruction to ensure high standards in the delivery of literacy and numeracy programs.

The Role
As a Mainstream Education Assistant, the successful applicant would assist in the delivery of planned education programs that will help in the development of students. In this role you should collaborate and work in a team environment. The successful applicant should ideally possess good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills to enable the implementation of individual or small group programs, as well as the ability to support the general health and well-being of students. You should ideally be organised and be able to use your initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment.
The successful applicant would work under teacher direction in a diverse role. As an Education Assistant you would also provide support to ensure the learning environment is inclusive and relevant with the health and safety of students being a high priority. The successful applicant should have the ability to manage student behaviour in accordance with school policies and programs.
