This is a permanent part-time (0.8FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2025.
Roleystone Community College (CC) is a K-10 school in the model of a District High School in the Perth metropolitan area. The school is becoming recognised as one of Western Australia’s outstanding public schools based on the excellence of its teaching and ability to meet the needs of every student. Roleystone builds promising futures for our students through providing excellent breadth and depth of education and a rich range of curricular and extra-curricular opportunities. Roleystone CC values and fosters community partnerships and sees itself as a community asset.
Every student at Roleystone CC matters.
As a school and as teachers we don’t give up on students – we constantly explore new ways to engage students who are not making progress, or who are making progress at a rate beyond that of their peers. The personal and familial attributes and circumstances relating to a student are not viewed as reasons or excuses for a student’s lack of academic and/or social progress. Instead, they are viewed as challenges that need to be overcome.

The Role
Roleystone CC is seeking a dynamic secondary teacher of Visual and Electronic Arts. The successful applicant will ideally drive the teaching and learning programs in Visual Art, Photography and Media Arts within our secondary area of the school.
Our school is currently undergoing a building program that will see a new Performing Arts Centre built on site. This will facilitate performing arts programs in Drama, Dance and Music. It is envisaged that the successful applicant would be able work as a part of a collegiate team that delivers exciting and contemporary opportunities to our students across all Arts contexts.
Roleystone CC is seeking applicants that wish to work at Roleystone and as such generic applications written for any school will not be highly considered. Roleystone is looking for teachers that can work collegiately and collaboratively but can also show a level of independence and initiative in the way they work.
