We are seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - K-6 for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Riverton Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public School that operated on the same site as the Riverton Education Support Centre, with a unique ‘campus’ approach. With an enrolment of over 670 students, Riverton PS has been growing steadily for several years. We are a local area school with a deservedly strong academic reputation in the district. Enrolment is sought by parents from inside and outside the local residential areas. The demographic structure of our families and students is very diverse with a strong international flavour. Over 85% of our students were either born overseas or have parents who were born overseas.
We have a large English as an Additional Language (EAL/D) component, employing two (2) staff members to work with class teachers and the students, both inside and outside the classrooms in a variety of models. We actively celebrate and embrace the diversity of cultures in a variety of ways.
Our students are strong academically, with excellent results in National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN), comparable to and often above our like schools. A high level of student engagement exists within the school and the learning program is guided by the current Western Australian curriculum.
We work closely and inclusively with the Riverton Education Support Centre (ESC), sharing the campus and interchanging staff across the two official schools. All our students complete activities and share the facilities together.
