Duncraig Senior High School (SHS) is situated in the north-western suburbs on the coastal strip 18 kilometres from Perth. The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative leader who has outstanding interpersonal, organisational and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to lead a strong, highly skilled, and diverse team.
The successful applicant should possess the ability to form positive working relationships within the Learning Area and the wider school community as they are regarded as a key member of the school’s senior leadership team.
The Head of Learning Area (HOLA) – Health and Physical Education will lead quality teaching, learning and assessment programs in line with the Western Australian Curriculum and Senior Secondary Western Australiian Certificate of Education (WACE) Courses. The successful applicant should reflect on and assess the effectiveness of teaching practices, promote an environment of active and positive learning, and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve their highest potential.
Applicants who have a working knowledge or experience in Year 11 and 12 Australian Tertiary Admission Ranking (ATAR) Physical Education studies would be highly desirable. The Learning Area also offers a Certificate II in Sports Coaching in Senior School, so an understanding of Vocational Education and Training (VET) processes would also be highly desirable.
