The Role
The successful applicant will work as part of our school leadership team, particularly relating to targeted use of resources and workforce planning. As the successful applicant you should have excellent organisational and communication skills. You will ideally have a displayed history of working effectively as part of a collaborative team. The ability to work with all stakeholders to develop strong community relationships and links with staff, students and families is important to this role.
A thorough knowledge of the School Resourcing System, RM Finance, the Education Department Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS), Staff Performance Management and high-level financial management skills with solid analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills is desired.
As Manager Corporate Services (MCS) you will monitor and manage staff leave entitlement to ensure accrued leave is cleared within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with relevant awards, agreements and Department policy. The successful applicant will also manage staff performance in accordance with the Public Sector Performance Management Standard and Departmental. To support the financial and human resource aspects of the role the successful applicant would develop and manage financial, administrative and information processes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Departmental policies and guidelines. The MCS will be undertaking research and project work in relation to business trends and issues which may impact on the financial, physical or human resource aspects of the school’s operations.
The successful applicant will work as part of a team in a busy dynamic school community. As such, you should be an efficient, enthusiastic team member. The flexibility to move between tasks and deliver outcomes while working to deadlines in a complex and fast paced environment is highly desirable. The successful applicant will; display effective interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence with an ability to develop constructive, respectful, and positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community.

The location and community
Tambrey PS is an Independent Public School, centrally located in the City of Karratha 1600km north-west of Perth. Our school is part of the Pilbara Education Region and has recently celebrated its 35th anniversary. The Pilbara has diverse cultural and environmental experiences from Exmouth to Broome to Tom Price.
Karratha offers a number of modern facilities and is one of the fastest growing towns in the north of Western Australia. Known as ‘Munjaree’- or the heart of the West Pilbara Coast - its size and central location make it the ideal base for exploring the natural delights of the area. Millstream- Chichester National Park, Karijini National Park, Dampier Archipelago, Point Samson Peninsula and the Burrup Peninsula and Murujuga National Park - Karratha is the home of boating, camping and fishing.

Iron ore can be found in equal measure in Karratha. Known for its iron ore operations, this is the gateway to the marine-life rich Dampier Archipelago, the world’s most prolific prehistoric rich engraving site, Karijini’s four-billion-year-old adventure playground and Millstream’s Chichester National Park. It’s also one of the few locations where you can witness the Staircase to the Moon. Karratha is a two-hour flight or a 16-hour road trip from Perth and a three-hour drive south of Port Hedland.
