The Role
We are seeking cleaners who can work well with our friendly and highly valued facilities team to ensure our school is maintained to a high standard and in accordance with Department of Education policies and procedures and who will share the pride in presenting our school as a clean and hygienic environment for students and staff.
Cleaners are responsible for internal cleaning duties, including the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal, and other items of general cleaning. In addition, you will also carry out external cleaning duties, including the cleaning of verandas and covered areas, rubbish removal, cleaning of drinking troughs, window cleaning, removal of cobwebs and other general cleaning duties. During vacation times, tasks will include window cleaning, shampooing of carpets, pressure cleaning of verandas and undercover areas.
In this role you will ideally have good attention to detail and will be able to work well both individually and as part of a team to ensure a clean and safe school environment. You should be organised, honest, reliable, punctual, and have excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods, and practices.
