The Role
We invite suitable applicants to become a member of our dynamic and distinctive school community.
As a visual arts specialist teacher, the suitable applicant will join in our shared responsibility for the wellbeing and success of all. Suitable applicants will need to have exemplary classroom management and organisational skills and a thorough understanding of the WA Visual Arts curriculum to plan, teach, and assess challenging, creative, and engaging programs that promote active and differentiated learning.The suitable applicant will be able to teach and manage the Visual Art specialist classes and will ideally be committed to promote and showcase The Arts within and outside of the school. Forming strong links and creating opportunities within the community and engaging with external artists is integral to this role.
We are seeking a teacher to be part of our team that ideally is able to show excellent interpersonal and professional skills, to work co-operatively and collaboratively across the school. The successful applicant forms part of the specialist teachers’ team and will ideally support other programs within the school. (This position may include classroom teaching).
