The Role
We are actively seeking Kindergarten to Year 6 teachers, including Specialist teaching appointments.
Suitable applicants should promote, model and maintain high expectations and adhere to whole school approaches that are evidence based and supported by research. Educators should adopt high impact teaching strategies and use ongoing formative assessment to provide feedback to students, measure their progress, and plan differentiated learning programs to address individual student needs with a focus on progress and improvement.
Suitable applicants should ideally be highly motivated, skilled and dedicated educators who are committed to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for every child, every day, through our whole school approaches, explicit teaching and instructional strategies. A strong understanding of the Western Australia Curriculum is also desirable. Knowledge of whole school practices would be highly desirable, including Talk4Writing, Heggerty Phonic Awareness/Spelling Mastery, PRIME maths as well as approaches that follow whole school policies, procedures and lesson design formats. Teachers should be prepared to participate actively in whole school, year level, and learning area planning and curriculum development. Working with the community and engaging parents in the learning programs is a key focus.
The ability to establish genuine, positive and caring relationships with our students is highly desirable. Our pastoral care whole school approaches will ensure each student is engaged, belongs and feels connected to our school. Knowledge, understanding and experience in implementing Classroom Management Strategies (CMS), Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), and Protective Behaviours is highly desirable.
