Nollamara Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
We have a diverse student population of over 420 students who originate from over 20 different countries. A little over 20% of our students identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and many of our students have a language background other than English. Nollamara (PS) has an intensive English Centre and experience working in this environment dealing with student enrolments and visas would be desirable. Nollamara PS is located approximately 7 kilometres north of the Perth Central Business District and is part of the North Metropolitan Education Region. The school was built in 1956 and was constructed using the old U configuration. Nollamara (PS) is a Level 4 school with a student enrolment of around 440 students and caters for children from Kindergarten to Year 6.

The Role
Suitable applicants should ideally have a high level of experience and skill in an education context to join the Corporate Services team. Suitable applicants should have a thorough understanding of how to apply high levels of customer service principles, possess exceptional communication and clerical skills, and be a supportive, capable team member and work in collaboration with the administration team, school support staff, our school community and teaching staff. Suitable applicants will ideally have sound organisational skills and the flexibility to adapt to new roles and responsibilities to suit the growing business needs of the school.
Responsibilities of the School Officer include processing both mainstream and Intensive English Centres (IEC) enrolments, maintaining IEC bus timetables, booking interpreters, keeping track of student numbers, student attendance, meeting and greeting visitors, answering the telephone, responding to routine enquiries and requests for information and maintaining school databases including records and management information systems to ensure they are accurate and up to date. Knowledge of Student Information System (SIS), RM Billing, Microsoft Office, 365 would be desirable.
