Northam Senior High School (SHS) is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, and highly collaborative HASS teacher to join our team. The successful applicant will work collaboratively within the HASS team and the broader school setting to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of students.
The school stands on the bank of the Avon River and has a proud and rich history of providing a comprehensive curriculum to students in Years 7-12 from the Northam and surrounding Wheatbelt districts students. The Role
We are seeking a teacher with a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning in the secondary context. Teachers at all stages of their career are encouraged to apply, including new graduates. The successful applicant will teach HASS from Year 7 through to Year 12 and this may include General and ATAR courses. Knowledge and understanding of the Year 7 – 12 Western Australian HASS Curriculum is essential.
We cater for a diverse range of students and are seeking to appoint staff that are student and relationship focused and who possess engaging teaching, learning and assessment tools to maximise the progress of students. You will be a reflective practitioner who works collaboratively within your curriculum area and across the school community. Ideally, you will also have demonstrated a commitment to ensuring successful outcomes for all students. Applicants with interest and experience in catering for Students at Educational Risk (SAER) and promoting student engagement through project based course design are encouraged to apply.
