The Role
The role of the Library Officer is to supervise the day-to-day operations of the library and provision of reference, information, and associated services to teaching staff and students. As part of the role, you administer library systems, ensuring library records are up to date and library resources are maintained and processed, so they are always accessible and available to students and staff. The successful applicant will conduct library skills and the use of library equipment, as well as providing technical advice on the library Information Technology system.
The successful applicant should have a love of books and be able to inspire students with a love of reading, create a welcoming atmosphere in the library and collaborate with other staff to promote reading through the school. A sound understanding of school library systems, processes and stocktakes would be highly regarded.
You will be required to administer library systems, ensuring library records are up to date, and library resources are maintained and processed so they are always accessible and available to students and staff.
