Mount Magnet District High School (DHS) are seeking to establish a pool of Secondary Generalist Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
We are seeking Teachers with a strong secondary teaching background and demonstrated use of a range of pedagogies and a flexible and adaptive approach in applying the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching. You will ideally have an ability to empower your students to take charge of their learning and build engagement in their education and employment pathways.
Suitable applicants will ideally possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills which will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community. You will work collaboratively with your colleagues and build positive relationships with your students. As a teacher within our school, your expertise and endearing personal attributes will contribute to establishing and maintaining a positive classroom learning environment.
This role will suit someone who is relationship-focused, highly motivated, and passionate about creating exciting, culturally responsive learning experiences to ignite a desire to learn in students. Mobility appointments for permanent, metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
