This is a seventeen (17) month fixed term, full-time position commencing ASAP until the end of March 2026.
Program Kaartdijin has been established to develop a functionally fit, technologically robust solution to replace the current School Information System (SISClassic) and include additional information capture and reportability. The Program focuses on providing short-term solutions as well as a longer-term solution that meets the operational needs of schools and the reporting and management needs of the Department at large. The Program vision is to provide a contemporary administrative and finance solution connecting people, processes and systems for school communities now and into the future.
The new Kaartdijin Solution will replace the SISClassic suite of applications currently used in 800+ schools throughout Western Australia. The Department has contracted TechnologyOne as the provider of the core finance functionalities and Compass Education as the provider of the billing, student administration and school administration functionalities for schools.

The Role
Program Kaartdijin is seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Officer to join their dynamic team.
As a member of the schools’ team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the Kaartdijin solution is ready for schools to use. You will provide specialist advice to prepare the solution for deployment and implementation into schools. This includes providing advice to the training and deployment teams to inform their planning and materials, as well as providing support to schools and department business units.
The ideal candidate will apply their extensive knowledge of school processes, including enrolment, attendance, pastoral care, teacher absence and timetabling, to provide recommendations. You will conduct in-depth investigations and analyses of complex issues, policies, and practices associated with the configuration of the solution. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential. A comprehensive understanding of enrolment policies and processes, attendance policies and processes, DOE systems, and timetabling would be advantageous.
It is important within this role to maintain a focus on customer service delivery and continuous improvement of services.
