We are looking for committed, professional educators, to join our team and assist in achieving the ambitious targets and strategies in our School Plan, Voyage. Riva PS, located in Piara Waters, serves a highly engaged, supportive and rapidly growing community. Our school is developing a reputation which echoes our values of respect, inclusion, and achievement.
Respect commences with the conscious and continued acknowledgement, celebration, and incorporation of the perspective of First Nations Australians, and the diversity, expertise, and cultures of our community. Respect is about developing reciprocal relationships, consulting, and building meaningful connection with students, parents, staff, and our wider community. Riva staff are characterised by their commitment to learn with and alongside our students and community. Our school includes a significant number of students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and who speak English as an additional language.
Our school is above all, inclusive, meaning that every student is actively supported to achieve in the least restrictive environment, with their peers. Inclusion is not a place or an occasion, but our commitment to each student. Inclusive education allows students of all backgrounds to learn and grow side by side, to the benefit of all. We cater for students with disability, requiring staff who are skilled in adjusting their instructional practices and delivery, providing engaging and rigorous learning experiences for all students.
Our staff are highly motivated and committed to students’ academic achievement and their social and emotional development. Teachers at Riva PS hold themselves accountable to high expectations and pride themselves on their instructional design and delivery for learning, using research-proven approaches that align to our plan, and Pedagogy Atlas, and are adaptable to student needs
