We are seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
Suitable applicants will ideally have a ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to anticipate and adapt to change; showing initiative and flexibility within a respectful team environment to produce the best opportunities for students.
In partnership with families, our goal is for all students to make year on year growth. We aim to support the social, emotional and academic growth of each student through evidence-based practices, supportive learning environments and a strong pastoral care approach focusing on student well-being.
As a Mainstream Education Assistant you should form part of our dedicated team of staff working with students primarily in the early years. In this role, you will collaborate with the classroom teacher to assist in the delivery of planned educational programs to support the learning of all students. Building meaningful relationships with students and their families will be an important part of this role, and as such, effective communication and interpersonal skills would be highly desirable.
Suitable applicants should be organised and able to use their initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment. As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you will organise equipment, materials and resources for indoor and outdoor use. Classrooms at Henley Brook Primary School promote a positive classroom tone and you should work collaboratively with teachers to establish clear routines and structures to ensure every student feels safe, secure and supported. This role may be varied depending on the needs of the students and as such, an open mind and willingness to take on a variety of tasks will be highly regarded qualities.
Ideally, suitable applicants will possess a broad range of skills and strategies to meet the needs of learners with diverse needs, as well as a commitment towards improving student learning through ongoing reflective practice and engagement in professional learning.
A Certificate lll in Education Support would be highly regarded.
