We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistants - Mainstream for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year.
Manning Primary School is in a residential area in the City of South Perth, an inner metropolitan school attracting students from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds. The clientele includes children of Aboriginal heritage and diverse cultural backgrounds. The school attracts some students whose parents are working or studying at surrounding universities. There is strong parent support from the P&C who have funded special projects through the school. Parent involvement is fostered through the School Board, help in the classroom, on special days and at sports carnivals.

The Role
The role of Education Assistant – Mainstream focuses primarily on the teaching and learning of students through assisting the teacher in delivering planned education programs, including the operation of computers; and, under teacher direction, implement individual or small group programs or demonstrations.
In this role, you may be required to assist with the management of resources by maintaining and updating inventory lists, monitoring stock levels and requirements, and reporting these to the teacher. You will ideally provide administrative support and may in accordance with school policy be required to collect monies from students where appropriate.
