The Role
Champion Bay SHS is seeking to appoint a dedicated Technologies Specialist Teacher to assist students to maximise their potential, both at school and into the future. The successful applicant will ideally have the ability to provide high quality teaching and learning programs that meet the needs of our students.
The successful applicant should ideally be a proactive and passionate Design and Technology Teacher who is able to effectively teach across the school’s Technology programs. This should include being able to provide students with learning opportunities in our lower and senior school programs, with a metals, wood, and composite materials focus, as well as contributing to our expanding Technologies team and working collaboratively within a Science, Technologies, Engineering, and mathematics (STEM) focus with experience and/ or interest in participating in cross curricular STEM initiatives.
Champion Bay SHS has a well-resourced Technologies area and offers a variety of courses in Wood, Metals, Digital and Technical Graphics, as well as Robotics. We have a strong selective STEM program for our students (Champions Innovation Academy), with students participating in after school STEM activities and external competitions.

Mobility appointments for permanent, metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
