The Role
This role will suit someone who is highly motivated, relationship-focused and passionate about creating exciting learning experiences to ignite a desire to learn for all students.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop high level teaching skills in a supportive environment in order to significantly improve the future of students at educational risk. You should be a Teacher who aspires for academic excellence and is committed to high quality teaching and learning. Professional knowledge and understanding of trauma informed practice and supporting students’ social and emotional wellbeing is preferred. A sound understanding of The Western Australian Curriculum and the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework will be critical to this role.
You will develop authentic and rich learning tasks, work with students to develop goals, apply a range of instruction and explicit teaching incorporating current and emerging technologies to meet the needs of our students. Mobility appointments for permanent, metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
