We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistant – Mainstream for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Established in 1913, Nedlands Primary School has seen many prominent West Australians pass through its ranks, forming just part of our strong history. In addition to the PP - Year 6 program operating on the main school site, the school operates a Kindergarten program off-site at the Nedlands Park Early Learning Centre, about 1km from the main school.

The Role
Suitable applicants will possess the ability to assist in teaching literacy, numeracy, and social skills. You must be flexible and willing to collaborate, work in teams and use explicit teaching techniques. Under teacher direction, you will implement individual or small group programs or demonstrations and assist in the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment and school resources. You will also assist the teacher with care and supervision of students during class activities and excursions, as well as assisting the teacher with the general care and wellbeing of the students.
We seek enthusiastic team members who continually reflect on their practice and who are open to being observed and receiving feedback to guide their professional growth. You will ideally contribute advice and expertise; collaborating with staff to support and monitor student progress.
