The Role
We are looking for exceptional leaders who possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and are committed to supporting staff and students to achieve excellent educational outcomes. These skills will see you establish positive and respectful relationships with students and their families, your colleagues, and the broader school community.
Suitable applicants will have the opportunity to work closely with the principal and be part of a leadership team. They should value an inclusive culture and be able to work with others as the school embeds existing practices and lead change in the areas of curriculum development and teaching practice.
Suitable applicants will ideally possess the commitment and expertise to support a culture of excellence in teaching and learning. They should possess excellent communication and organisational skills and have the ability to work in a highly collaborative manner. Expertise and experience in leading curriculum and pedagogy across all phases of the school is highly desirable for this role. Suitable applicants should possess excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and superior analytical skills.
Suitable applicants will have a role in the mentoring staff, supporting collaborative practices within the school; maintaining and implementing the school’s instructional programs; and supporting the development of teacher pedagogy. Having the ability to analyse student, teacher and whole school performance to identify improvement processes will be highly regarded. Strong data analysis skills are desired.
The ability to establish genuine, positive and caring relationships with our students is paramount. Knowledge, understanding and experience in leading Positive Behaviour Support, Classroom Management Strategies (CMS), support of Students at Educational Risk (SAER), and Special Education Needs (SEN) planning. Experience in leading whole school approaches to literacy and numeracy is highly regarded. Suitable applicants will ideally be culturally responsive and respect and celebrate diversity.
